Paper
My focus was to manipulate a paper product to explore the role paper plays in the fallacy of technology making paper a thing of the past. During many years of computer system creation, it has become clear that the paperless office may never exist in my lifetime. With each computer system delivered, two common denominators emerge. One is the the definition of printable reports that people file away unread. The second is the obligatory celebration of a job well done where paper plates are supplied to remove the burden of washing up. The cost for this convenience is to take the useful (nature) to useless (rubbish) in one meal and one push of a button.

The colours were inspired by my travels to Europe whilst Arp's 3D works were kept in mind when creating this repeat pattern piece. The rhythm of the layered organic forms and the negative space contribute to the melding together if each identical piece.
