My influences can be traced back to childhood where I was engaged with all things from the natural world; particularly the trees, animals, bugs and flowers that resided in my backyard.

I would often be found with my face close to the grass following ants, worms and spiders along their journey through the serrated green blades of grass, curious about what they were up to and where they were headed with such purpose.

It is clear that my photography follows this trend of getting up close and personal, as I once did with the Lilliputian world that exists in almost every Aussie backyard.

Later on, after years of travel and living abroad, my influences were the people I met from the different cultures. My art practice turned to water colours and exploring the many faces I met along the way.

After obtaining my Master of Art Therapy and realising the healing qualities of art, my art practice has swung towards investigating my observations about how humans react and interact with the environment. I am also exploring the many varied relationships I have with family and friends how are still here with me or who have passed through yet left indelible imprints in my life.
